Seasonal Promotions- “Summer”
Summer is upon us and what better than summer tourist to spend money. Now it is simple if you are in a tourist driven industry, free drinks, sunglasses, or even just fancy signs to draw in customers can do the trick. What if your business is not in the tourism industry? How do you capitalize on that egger to spend tourist? I’ll tell you, you need to find an item or service you offer that can take on a summer spin. Like a massage therapist offering summer scent aroma therapy massages. Another dimension to this could be “bring an out of town guest and your massage is 50% off or get a free gift, etc.”
Think how you might be able to strategize this within your organization. Go beyond out of the box and “blow up your box” of creative ideas!
Every business has something that can take on a summer spin.
Even a lawyer can do a promotion that includes beach blankets- call it Beach Blanket Mediation. This could potentially turn into something big that you would never expect, be ready. Take a calculated risk and also know your customer, “beach blanket mediation” might not be what works but you get the point.
If you feel that there is no way to capitalize on the seasonal strategy of promotions, affiliate yourself with an organization that thrives during that season. An example would be working with a hotel to create a relationship that could potentially send you traffic from the vacationers. Convention centers, tour groups, amusement parks and other business can aid you in yours. Don’t be afraid to ask, remember the worse thing they can say is not interested.
It’s summer soon, get out there make connections with other businesses and create a summer strategy to help capitalize on the expanded traffic to the coast!
